LIVING IN THE SHADOW

Cloé Beaudoin / Cloé Beaudoin (SOCAN/BMI) I’ve been living in the shadow for far too long How come worthless little problems become so strong? I wish that it could be a nightmare not my reality This is too good to be true But darkness has taken over me I’ve been gazing at a dark sky for far too long Thinking about the lights that still live on Even in this living nightmare there’s still some light to be shed This darkness is my creation that’s consuming every part of me Don’t want it to be night for the rest of my life I’m losing myself and my blood’s running colder Where is this «don’t belong» emotion taking me? Where’s a heart? Where’s a heart? When you need one All I see when I look in the mirror Is a shadow Is a shadow What have I become? I sacrificed myself for thinking that I didn’t belong Everything of me is destroyed What’s left? Don’t want it to be night for the rest of my life I’m losing myself and my blood’s running colder Where is this «don’t belong» emotion taking me? Where’s a heart? Where’s a heart? When you need one All I see when I look in the mirror Is a shadow Is a shadow I’ve been living in the shadow for far too long
